• Job: Systems Administrator
• Duration: contract to hire role (can convert to permanent employee after 90 days on contract)
• Location: On-site in Plainview, NY.

We are looking for an Systems Administrator with hands-on experience in Windows-based environments to support a growing IT infrastructure. This role requires expertise in 365/Azure (at least 1 year), virtualization (Hyper-V, Citrix), and PowerShell scripting. The position is onsite in Plainview, NY, with some potential travel using a company-provided vehicle (valid driver's license required).

Responsibilities:

• Manage and support enterprise Windows-based infrastructure (minimal Linux exposure).
• Work with 365/Azure, Hyper-V, and Citrix for virtualization needs.
• Utilize PowerShell scripting for automation and system management.
• Assist in managing 400 servers, with a focus on learning and adaptation.
• Collaborate with two existing sys admins to ensure smooth operations.
• Handle the demands of a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
• Travel to additional sites as needed.

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience in enterprise IT environments ( 5-7 years preferred).
• Strong expertise in Windows Server environments.
• Certifications (Microsoft, VMware, etc.) are a plus but not required.
• Excellent troubleshooting, problem-solving, and communication skills.
