Position Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Procurement Manager to lead and manage the sourcing, purchasing, and supplier relationship functions for our North American operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing procurement strategies, optimizing cost, ensuring the timely delivery of materials and services, and maintaining high standards of quality and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and manage procurement strategies aligned with business objectives.
  • Source and negotiate with suppliers to achieve optimal pricing, quality, and delivery terms.
  • Manage and monitor supplier performance through KPIs and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Collaborate closely with engineering, manufacturing, and project management teams to forecast demand and ensure material availability.
  • Identify and mitigate risks in the supply chain, including alternative sourcing strategies.
  • Maintain and improve procurement policies, processes, and systems (e.g., ERP systems).
  • Drive cost-saving initiatives while maintaining product and supplier quality.
  • Ensure compliance with corporate policies, industry regulations, and ethical standards.
  • Support global supply chain initiatives and align with Hanwha’s corporate procurement strategy.
  • Prepare reports and present procurement analytics to senior management.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or related field (Master’s or MBA preferred).
  • 5–8 years of procurement or supply chain management experience, preferably in industrial equipment, energy, or manufacturing sectors.
  • Proven experience in strategic sourcing, contract negotiation, and supplier relationship management.
  • Strong understanding of ERP/MRP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar).
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and analytical skills.
  • Knowledge of international sourcing, import/export regulations, and logistics is a plus.
  • Certification such as CPSM, CPM, or APICS is desirable.
