The Data Analyst uses data to uncover insights that support decision-making across the organization. They will share meaningful insights in meetings, creating impactful reports with tools like Power BI and SSRS, document design decisions and specs, and present data workflows for transparency. With skills in SQL, R, and Python, they also contribute to AI/ML projects, monitor data trends, and identify growth opportunities. Collaborating with other teams, they bring a data-driven perspective to improve business processes.

COMMUNICATION WITH OTHERS:
Internal – Close daily collaboration with IT team. Frequent contact with all AHS project stakeholders and end users that we support.
External - Regular contact with State employees, other State contractors, and AHS partners.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Excellent working conditions in an office environment. Some travel is required to improve collaboration with remote stakeholders or clients.
SPECIFICATIONS:
Knowledge – Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, Mathematics or related field required. In-depth knowledge and experience with relational databases (e.g. MS SQL). statistical analysis tools and techniques (R, Python, etc.), Power BI, Microsoft Excel and related data analyst tools and techniques are required.
Skills/Abilities – Very detailed oriented and curious. Strong desire to learn and continuously improve skill set. Strong communication and interpersonal skills required. Ability to work effectively with technical and business users. Must possess analytical, problem solving and critical thinking skills. Must be able to interface with multiple users and effectively manage work assignments from start to finish. Ability to manage workflow and meet deadlines while responding to frequent demands of multiple internal and external clients. Ability to work in a rapidly changing and growth-oriented environment with regularly changing priorities and opportunities.
Experience - Minimum one year work experience in data analysis and decision support systems. Previous health care and operations background is preferred.
Physical Requirements - Light work-bending, reaching, squatting, kneeling, and light lifting are required.
