Summary

F8 is looking for a skilled video editor to join our small team of passionate, fun-loving creatives! The ideal candidate will have several years of post-production experience and a solid understanding of commercial production processes. Experience in video production and/or photography is a plus!

Core responsibilities:

• Use Premiere Pro to organize and edit a variety of video projects, with some supporting functions performed in other Adobe software (After Effects, Photoshop, Audition)
• Collaborate with clients and teammates to develop creative concepts, select appropriate music and sound effects, direct voice talent, make revisions to video edits, and ultimately deliver the best possible results to the client
• Clearly and confidently communicate with customers through phone/video calls, in-person meetings, and email correspondence to keep projects on track
• Assist with in-studio and on-site video production work as a camera operator, drone pilot (if/when licensed), and producer – providing suggestions, creative input, and occasionally self-directing a solo production
• Collaborate with our Content Marketing Manager to assist with the development of fun social media content for our clients' (and our own_ social media channels
• Assist in the development of an annual F8 showreel video highlighting the projects our team works on across all creative disciplines

The ideal candidate for this position…

• knows the ins and outs of Premiere Pro and the Adobe video editing workflow (strong knowledge of After Effects is a plus)
• is familiar with common video formats, standards, and requirements
• has general knowledge of all aspects of video production and visual storytelling, including shooting, audio recording, lighting techniques, color correction, story development, shot selection, etc.
• can think and work independently, as well as take direction and receive feedback
• loves to be creative, make things, and come up with new/cool/fun ideas
• collaborates well with others; has strong communication skills
• is detail-oriented; has strong technical and organizational skills
• has strong time management skills to keep multiple projects on schedule
• has a positive, can-do attitude and loves to solve challenges
• is a decent, honest, hard-working person with a sense of humor
• is willing to learn new skills and roles to assist the F8 team
• desires ongoing learning and improvement of filming/editing techniques
