The Role:
We are seeking a highly connected, strategic sales leader with proven, successful experience in frozen desserts, ice cream, or CPG. The ideal candidate will be a well-connected self-starter with a proven ability to secure sales and build and expand sales across multiple channels. The also must lead, communicate and nurture their team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and scale multiple sales channels, including but not limited to potential channels that you believe can meet profitability targets:
- Conventional grocery retail (mass, club, convenience)
- Natural channel grocery retail
- Foodservice for colleges & universities and K-12 school systems
- Healthcare, assisted living, and hospitals
- Military and government contracts
- Arenas, sports venues, and entertainment venues
- Camps, resorts, and other alternative channels
- Leverage existing industry relationships to accelerate market entry and sales growth
- Secure and grow national accounts with key retailers, distributors, and foodservice operators
- Develop and execute a comprehensive go-to-market strategy
- Build and lead a high-performance sales team over time
- Collaborate across teams (marketing, operations, finance) to optimize sales efforts
- Work remotely with travel as needed to drive business
- Further develop broker relationships and agreement to augment internal abilities
What We’re Looking For:
- 10+ years of sales leadership experience in frozen desserts, ice cream, or CPG
- A strategic thinker with a strong, proven track record of driving and scaling sales across multiple channels
- Deep industry contacts in retail, foodservice, healthcare, military, and alternative markets
- Experience selling into grocery, club, mass, convenience, and foodservice sectors
- Entrepreneurial mindset – thrives in a fast-paced, high-growth, bootstrapping environment that requires a positive mindset and willingness to integrate and work with and nurture their team
- A self-motivated rainmaker who excels at closing deals and executing strategy
- Ability to work hybrid or remotely while maintaining a strong presence in the market
