At Frazier Home Design, we design homes that feel as good as they look. Since 2007, our studio has built a reputation for crafting high-end custom homes that blend timeless proportions with fresh ideas. We’re a small, collaborative team based in Raleigh, NC, and we’re passionate about meaningful design, quality execution, and working together to create spaces that inspire.

We're looking for an experienced Residential Designer who can lead client conversations, hand sketch compelling concepts before bringing them to life in BIM, and collaborate closely with our team to bring each custom home to life.

What You’ll Do

  • Client Leadership: Guide clients through the design process, ensuring their vision is reflected in every detail.
  • Concept Sketching: Communicate design ideas clearly through hand sketches and conceptual drawings.
  • Design Development: Translate sketches into fully developed designs using BIM software.
  • Team Collaboration: Work with our designers and principal to maintain high design integrity and functionality across all projects.
  • Project Management: Handle multiple active projects while meeting deadlines and maintaining the quality we’re known for.

What We’re Looking For

  • 5+ years of residential design experience , including direct, client-facing work.
  • Strong hand sketching ability to communicate early design concepts.
  • BIM software proficiency (We use Archicad. Training will be provided).
  • A working knowledge of construction methods and materials , you design with real-world building in mind.
  • A team-oriented mindset , you’re self-motivated, communicative, positive, and open to feedback.
  • A strong sense of accountability and initiative , with the confidence to ask questions when needed.
  • A genuine passion for residential architecture and a desire to understand the craft of home design.
