Salary: $100,000-$128,000

Shift: 8am-5pm

Requirements:

• Associates Degree or above
• 6+ years of manufacturing engineering experience
• 2+ years of lead or supervisory experience
• Previous budget management experience

Preferred:

• Experience with cost structures and cost reduction strategies
• Automotive industry experience specifically with seat assembly

Job Description:

As the PE Assistant Manager, you will oversee and coach the Seat Assembly Production Engineering team, ensuring smooth production processes. Your responsibilities include developing and evaluating process plans and production preparation, managing tool and equipment sourcing, design, and installation. You will also track and control budget activities, reporting to management as needed. Additionally, you will organize data and promptly address production issues to maintain efficiency in automotive manufacturing. 50% of the work will be hands on and 50% will be managerial.

Essential Job Functions:

• Create and evaluate process plans and production preparation plans for new Seat Assembly processes.
• Create and evaluate process flow, layout, work combination and equipment specs.
• Supervise supplier selection process for sourcing of tools and equipment.
• Control budget and track budget related activities.
• Develop reports to allow for the growth of the Seat Assembly team.
• Coach Seat Assembly team members on production processes.
• Collect and organize data in an orderly fashion to be accessed and used for future programs.
• Discuss agreement of equipment specifications with plants.
• Participate and guide the design, construction and installation of new tools and equipment.
• Understand, analyze and elevate production preparation issues in a timely manner to allow for countermeasures.
• Report production preparation status to PE management and related groups.
