About the Role

We are looking for a Market Risk Manager to lead daily market risk operations, manage a team of risk analysts, and oversee margin processes and client activity monitoring. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with commodity derivatives, trading platforms, and risk models, and will be comfortable operating in a fast-paced trading environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain market risk policies and procedures.
• Lead, mentor, and manage a small team of risk analysts.
• Handle margin calls for clients and introducing brokers, ensuring timely follow-ups.
• Configure and monitor pre-trade controls and conduct periodic system reviews across trading platforms.
• Track post-trade risk metrics and escalate exceptions when necessary.
• Maintain firm-wide dashboards and risk reporting tools.
• Manage market risk initiatives, acting as PMO to ensure timely delivery.
• Provide insightful risk analysis and reports to senior management for internal and regulatory purposes.

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years in financial markets with strong experience in commodity derivatives, trading, and risk management.
• Experience with Futures Commission Merchants (FCM) or broker/dealers is highly preferred.
• Deep understanding of exchange margin methodologies (e.g., SPAN, IRM, Prisma).
• Familiarity with trading platforms such as T4, CQG, TT, or QST.
• Advanced Excel and SQL skills for data analysis and risk reporting.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex risk insights to senior leadership.
