Job Description:
Our client is hiring highly skilled and experienced IS Computer Support Technician II to join their team. This role is crucial for ensuring the efficient and effective support of their computer systems. Including personal computers, local area networks, client workstations, and other devices. A successful candidate will be responsible for implementing, maintaining, and troubleshooting various types of computer systems and related equipment. This is a full-time position that requires a proactive approach and the ability to work independently within a dynamic team environment.



Responsibilities:
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware and software issues using advanced diagnostic tools and troubleshooting techniques.
  • Maintain and manage hardware and software configurations, including installations, patches, updates, and configurations for operating systems and applications.
  • Coordinate with team members to analyze computer performance and make recommendations for enhancing system functionality and efficiency.
  • Provide end-user support and assistance, ensuring timely resolution of issues and high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Adhere to scheduled support activities and meet project deadlines consistently.
  • Act as a point of escalation for complex technical and customer-related issues, providing expert guidance and support.
  • Participate in and conduct training sessions, workshops, seminars, and conferences to stay updated with the latest technology and advancements.
  • Offer mentorship and guidance to junior staff members, fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented team environment.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 24 college credit hours in Computer Science or a related field.
  • At least three years of relevant experience in information technology support, troubleshooting, and systems maintenance.
  • Alternatively, five years of hands-on experience in IT technical support roles.
  • Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and software for troubleshooting hardware and software issues.
  • Strong understanding of operating systems, computer applications, and networking technologies.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen analytical mindset.
  • Exceptional customer service skills and the ability to communicate technical information to non-technical users.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness and ability to participate in job-related travel as required.
  • Capability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds as part of job duties.
