Job Description

Food & Beverage Associate – Nashville, TN (Full-time and Part-time)

Who we are

Clayton & Crume is a leather goods and lifestyle brand founded in Louisville, KY. Since day one, we’ve built our business around quality craftsmanship, honest service, and a deep appreciation for shared experiences. Our flagship store in downtown Louisville serves not only as a retail space but also as a gathering place for our community—anchored by a full-service bar and coffee counter that brings people together.

We’re looking for a personable, enthusiastic Barista/Bartender to join our team on 12 South in Nashville, TN. This role is central to delivering a warm, elevated experience to every guest who walks through our doors. Whether it’s a cup of coffee in the morning or a bourbon cocktail at night, this team member plays a key role in creating everyday luxury through both product and service. Our bar and café space is an extension of our brand—and we treat it like a front porch, always welcoming and thoughtfully curated.

Where you’ll fit in

As a Food & Beverage Associate at Clayton & Crume, you’ll be the face of our hospitality experience. You’ll prepare and serve drinks with precision and pride, maintain high standards of cleanliness and presentation, and connect with customers in a way that reflects our values. From opening shifts to after-hours events, you’ll help uphold a culture of excellence behind the bar and on the floor.

You’ll be part of a team that values quality, camaraderie, and service that goes the extra mile. Whether you’re setting up for the day or supporting a packed evening crowd, your presence will help define what hospitality looks and feels like at Clayton & Crume.

What you’ll be responsible for

  • Deliver a high-touch, Everyday Luxury experience for each guest.
  • Prepare and serve beverages consistently, following all recipes and presentation standards.
  • Provide friendly, personalized customer service in a fast-paced setting.
  • Educate guests about our menu, seasonal offerings, and house specialties.
  • Set up and break down the bar daily, including restocking, cleaning, and maintaining supplies.
  • Maintain a clean, organized bar area and workspace throughout your shift.
  • Engage with customers, take drink and snack orders, and answer any product-related questions.
  • Assist in food handling, stocking, and basic café support as needed.
  • Support the execution of in-store events and private workshops/events.
  • Embrace ongoing training to deepen your knowledge of coffee, tea, spirits, and service.

What we’ll love about you

  • Your outgoing, approachable personality and ability to make guests feel welcome
  • Your strong sense of urgency and pride in delivering consistent, high-quality service
  • Your love of coffee, cocktails, and great conversation
  • Your ability to work well in a team, take feedback in stride, and stay cool under pressure.
  • Your commitment to cleanliness, safety, and attention to detail.
  • Your reliability, punctuality, and willingness to jump in wherever needed.

What you’ll bring to the table

  • A passion for hospitality, retail, or food & beverage service.
  • Experience in a bar, café, or restaurant environment is preferred but not required.
  • Strong multitasking skills and the ability to stay organized during high-volume moments.
  • Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and occasional workshops/events.
  • A positive attitude, eagerness to learn, and an eye for small details that make a big difference.

What you’ll bring to the table

  • Two (2+) years of experience in retail or hospitality, with some team leadership or event coordination experience preferred.
  • Experience or interest in marketing, event planning, or community engagement.
  • Confidence in working with customers, vendors, and local partners.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple moving pieces.
  • Comfort working evenings and weekends during events or special store initiatives.
  • A self-starter mindset and a desire to make an impact at the local level.
  • Familiarity with the Clayton & Crume brand and a passion for bringing it to life.

What you’ll love about us

  • We're a tight-knit, driven, and fun team building something we believe in.
  • You’ll play a real role in growing the brand and shaping how people experience it.
  • We offer 2 weeks of paid time off with additional weeks earned based on service.
  • We provide health, dental, and vision insurance, plus a fully vested 401(k) match after one year.
  • Our team gets access to our handcrafted goods, along with exclusive friends and family pricing.
  • We’re active in our community and give back through local partnerships and charitable work.
  • We proudly celebrate our Kentucky roots through events with local icons in bourbon, tourism, and horse racing.
