Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated, hard-working, construction field foreman to join our growing team. This individual will be responsible for developing construction schedules and timelines and overseeing field technicians and sub-contractors. Candidates should have construction experience as well as the ability to adhere to deadlines and budget restrictions.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following (other duties may be assigned):

· Implement effective project management techniques and cost-effective solutions throughout the project.

· Foreman will manage and control assigned projects, including overseeing field operations, site, safety, productivity, schedules, quality of work, trade contractor and supplier coordination, and work in conjunction with the project manager leading the project team.

· Train employees for job specific tasks.

· Maintain a daily log.

· Coordinate all construction project activities and services across the construction team in conjunction with the Project Manager.

· Oversee a strict schedule, ensuring milestones are reached and deadlines are met.

· Perform a quality check walkthrough and aftercare instructions with the client once a project is complete.

· Excellent interpersonal communication skills, both verbal and written.

· Experience with team leadership skills.

· Analytically and mathematically minded.

· Critical thinker and problem solver.

Pre-construction Responsibilities:

· Provide technical expertise throughout the pre-construction process.

· Participate in the constructability review.

· Assist in the management of the pre-construction schedule.

Safety Responsibilities:

· Ensure job safety requirements are understood and implemented by all project personnel and trade contractors, working with the safety support personnel as a resource.

· Continually strives for zero injuries on all projects.

· Lead on-site safety meetings.

· Review internal and subcontractor safety program and SDS information in the start-up meeting.

· Watch for and correct all safety hazards at the job site.

· Report all safety incidents to safety personnel.

Planning Responsibilities:

· Review the plans and specifications for constructability and construction schedules and advise the project team of any issues or deficiencies.

· Understand the scope of trade contract and supplier contract, plan and order tools and equipment.

· Facilitate the punch list process and closeout procedures with Project Manager, Owner, and Engineer before trade contractor work starts.

· Maintain a Zero Punchlist.

· Schedule and provide procedures for tools and equipment necessary for the project.

· Mentor and train other employees as necessary.

Job Requirements:

· Highschool, completion of Vocational School is a plus.

· 5+ years of experience in construction is required.

· 2+ years of experience as a construction foreman preferred.

· Proficient at understanding building plans, blueprints, and specifications.

· Team player with field staff, project management, and company administration.

· Knowledge of safety standards and enforcement.

· Ability to remain calm, focused, and effective under time pressure situations.

· Self-starter with the ability to set goals and tasks with strong leadership skills.
