Facilities Buildout Specialist – CNC & Prototyping

Location: Largo, FL (On-Site)

Type: Full-Time | Hybrid Manufacturing | Early-Stage Buildout

Reports to: CEO

Mission-Critical Objective:

Join a high-performance, future-forward team tasked with building initial production capabilities from a zero-baseline facility. You’ll lead prototyping, layout planning, equipment setup, and small-batch production—literally from scratch.

Core Responsibilities:

CNC Machining Expertise (Must-Have)

• Operate and program 3-, 4-, and 5-axis CNC machines (e.g., Haas, SYIL, Tormach)
• Expert knowledge of toolpaths, feeds/speeds, post-processors, CAM (Fusion360, Mastercam)
• Troubleshoot for tight tolerances and high-end finishes (mirror polish, S-grinds)

Hands-On Prototyping / Fabrication

• Run test batches, grind profiles, and assemble products
• Fabricate with minimal direction; solo execution from CAD to final part
• Build jigs, fixtures, and iterate quickly on design changes

Shop Setup & Layout

• Lead sourcing, layout planning, and installation of machines and infrastructure
• Optimize for workflow, safety, scalability, and performance
• Integrate power, ventilation, coolant systems, and other critical utilities

Valuable Secondary Strengths (Nice to Have)

• Team Growth Experience: Has built small teams, written SOPs, and systematized repeatable processes
• Lean / Modular Thinking: Understands prototyping to production transitions
• Generalist Builder Mentality: Comfortable ordering benches, wiring machines, and working alongside design teams to iterate fast
