POSITION: DESIGNER

ABOUT THE POSITION:

As a Designer at BBT, you will immerse yourself in the world of architectural design and contribute to creating spaces that inspire and innovate. This position is for individuals with a deep passion for architectural aesthetics, meticulous attention to detail, and a desire to collaborate with others. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Conceptual Design: Collaborate with project teams to translate project requirements into initial design concepts, creating innovative and functional solutions.

· 3D Modeling: Develop 3D models for documentation and visualizations to effectively communicate design ideas to clients, team members, stakeholders, and contractors.

· Schematic Design: Contribute to the creation of schematic design drawings, incorporating client feedback and regulatory considerations.

· Design Development: Participate in the development of architectural plans, elevations, sections, and details, ensuring design integrity throughout the process.

· Materials and Finishes: Research and recommend appropriate materials and finishes that align with the project's design concept and budget.

· Client Interaction: Engage with clients to understand their design preferences, needs, and expectations, while presenting design options and updates.

· Collaboration: Work closely with architects, project managers, other team members, and consultants to integrate structural, mechanical, and electrical elements into the design.

· Construction Documentation: Assist in the production of construction documents, including detailed drawings and specifications, ensuring compliance with building codes and regulations.

· Quality Control: Through committees, contribute to quality control processes to maintain design integrity and address any issues or discrepancies in the design.

· Sustainability Integration: Promote sustainable design principles, incorporating environmentally responsible practices into projects whenever possible.

QUALIFICATIONS:

· Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture or a related field.

· Proficiency in architectural software such as Revit, SketchUp, Adobe, and 3D modeling tools.

· Strong conceptual design skills and the ability to visualize and communicate design ideas effectively.

· Knowledge of architectural principles, building systems, and construction materials.

· Attention to detail and a passion for creating well-crafted, functioning, and aesthetically pleasing designs.

· Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Ability to work well in a collaborative team environment.

· Enthusiasm for staying updated on the latest industry trends and best practices.

· K12/Higher Education experience is a plus.
