About the Role

The Coordinator, Member Relations plays a vital role in supporting BCIU’s membership team by ensuring seamless communication, strong data management, and proactive engagement with current corporate members. This position supports the retention and growth of member relationships, and works closely with colleagues across the organization to ensure a best-in-class member experience. The Coordinator will also serve as a key internal point of contact for membership operations and contribute to a high-functioning and collaborative team culture. This is a growth-oriented role ideal for someone interested in client services, corporate affairs, and global engagement.

Responsibilities

External Member Support

  • Support member-facing communication, including outreach coordination, follow-up, and calendar scheduling
  • Conduct targeted research using internal and external sources to support member engagement strategy and meeting preparation
  • Track and document key milestones in member relationships to inform strategic engagement
  • Participate in BCIU program implementations and events, with particular attention to select activations impacting a broad swath of BCIU membership (e.g. UNGA)
  • Coordinate external meeting follow-ups by distilling key takeaways and ensuring action items are tracked and completed
  • Support a defined portfolio of member companies, helping to manage day-to-day engagement and strengthen relationships. The Coordinator will contribute to efforts to retain these members and support their progression to higher tiers of partnership. Key performance indicators will include renewal rates, member satisfaction, and successful tier advancement.

Internal Coordination & Operations

  • Maintain accurate and timely CRM records for member activity
  • Assist in the preparation of briefing materials, talking points, and backgrounders for internal and external meetings
  • Draft and maintain communication templates for member renewals and consultations
  • Monitor and report on key performance indicators related to member engagement and pipeline development
  • Support membership team budgeting and administrative needs

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (international affairs, business, communications, etc.)
  • 3–5 years of experience in a professional setting, preferably in a membership organization, client service, or administrative support role

Required Skills

  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and accountable
  • Personable and team-oriented, with excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Curious and resourceful, with strong research instincts
  • Comfortable working under tight deadlines and managing multiple priorities
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and CRM/database systems
  • Strong interest in global business, diplomacy, or public-private engagement
