About the role

Our client is hiring a Registered Dietitian (RD/RDN) to deliver culturally competent nutrition care in an outpatient setting—individual visits, family sessions, and group classes—with a focus on diabetes prevention and chronic-condition management.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments (labs, anthropometrics, diet history; NFPE as indicated) and write the nutrition diagnosis.
• Design, document, and iterate individualized care plans; reinforce MNT goals.
• Deliver education/counseling to individuals, families, and groups; lead community classes and outreach.
• Track outcomes in the EHR; monitor progress and adjust interventions.
• Coordinate referrals (WIC, SNAP, partner orgs) and contribute to quality metrics.

Must-haves

• Bilingual: Spanish & English (required)
• Registered Dietitian (RD/RDN) ; Texas license (or eligible within 60 days)
• Bachelor’s in Nutrition/Dietetics or related field ( Master’s preferred )
• 2+ years outpatient experience with demonstrated ability to create plans of care, not just execute them
• Cultural competence serving multicultural, low-income populations; strong documentation/EHR skills

Nice-to-haves

• Certified Diabetes Care & Education Specialist (CDCES/CDE)
• BLS certification
• Experience building group education programs and writing clinic policies
