Job Description

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

  • Maintain accurate data within ERP/MRP database (SAP)
  • Perform Cost Analysis to justify source selection.
  • Process purchase requisitions, issue purchase orders, and perform order follow up/ expedite duties.
  • Track supplier deliveries and maintain availability dates in MRP
  • Review and record vendor pricing and lead times
  • Source and maintain a reliable vendor base (delivery, price, and quality emphasis)
  • Reduce current indirect supplier base.
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

This role is pivotal in supporting production with the materials they need at a competitive price. The individual in this position must have a high degree of integrity, resourcefulness, and professionalism in working with colleagues, clients, and vendors. Relationship building, internal customer service, and the ability to follow up in a timely manner are critical

for success. The ideal candidate will have relative experience, excellent communication and time management skills, and manufacturing aptitude. To be successful in this role, a qualified applicant should possess the following attributes:

  • Minimum of 2-4 years of related experience, manufacturing environment preferred
  • College Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Finance, or related field required
  • The ideal candidate should possess experience in manufacturing purchasing, and related industry terminology.
  • Experience navigating and maintaining ERP/MRP systems preferred; SAP experience is a plus
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency in current versions of Microsoft Office Suite is required, with a focus in Microsoft Excel
  • Strong communication, logic and problem-solving skills are critical to success in this role
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Inventory management skills
