About the Opportunity On behalf of a national leader in construction and facility solutions, we are actively recruiting an experienced BAS Controls Technician for a full-time, direct-hire position based in Dallas, TX . This role offers the chance to work on complex and high-profile commercial and institutional projects across Texas, with the backing of a company known for innovation, safety, and quality.
Key Responsibilities - Install, program, and commission Building Automation Systems (BAS/BMS)
- Configure and troubleshoot DDC controllers, sensors, and networking protocols (BACnet, Modbus, etc.)
- Interpret electrical diagrams, control schematics, and sequences of operation
- Integrate HVAC, lighting, and energy systems using open-protocol platforms
- Provide technical support to project managers and field teams
- Maintain accurate documentation and service logs per company and client standards
Ideal Candidate Profile - 4+ years of experience in BAS/BMS installation, programming, and service
- Hands-on knowledge of platforms such as Tridium Niagara , Johnson Controls , Siemens , Honeywell , or similar
- Proficient with open protocols (BACnet, Modbus, LON)
- Comfortable with control panel wiring, testing, and commissioning
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
Preferred Qualifications - Niagara 4 Certification
- Experience with large-scale or multi-site BAS integration projects
- OSHA 10/30, EPA Universal Certification, or other technical credentials
- Associate's degree or technical training in HVAC, electronics, or building automation
