Job Title: Asphalt Paving Foreman/Superintendent

Location: Houston, Texas

Job Summary: The Asphalt Foreman/Superintendent is responsible for overseeing and managing asphalt paving projects from start to finish. This role involves coordinating with project managers, supervising crew members, ensuring safety protocols are followed, and maintaining high-quality standards in all paving operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Management: Plan, coordinate, and manage asphalt paving projects to ensure timely and within-budget completion.
  • Crew Supervision: Lead and supervise a team of workers, ensuring efficient and effective work practices.
  • Safety Compliance: Conduct daily job hazard analyses, weekly safety toolbox talks, and ensure all safety procedures are followed.
  • Quality Control: Maintain high standards of workmanship, complete quality control checklists, and ensure projects meet specifications.
  • Resource Management: Order materials, manage equipment, and ensure proper use and maintenance of all tools and machinery.
  • Reporting: Prepare and submit daily time sheets, equipment reports, and incident reports as needed.
  • Customer Satisfaction: Communicate with clients to ensure their needs are met and address any concerns promptly.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in asphalt paving or a related field, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
  • Skills: Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and project specifications.
  • Certifications: Relevant certifications in construction safety and project management are preferred.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and perform physical tasks as needed.
