About the Role:

Client is a leading U.S. based clean energy manufacturing company and is seeking a Vice President, Legal to lead its legal function during a pivotal period of growth and expansion.

With cutting-edge production facilities and a mission to build a resilient domestic supply chain for solar and battery technology, the company is at the forefront of the clean energy transition.

The VP of Legal will play a critical role as a strategic advisor and operational leader, overseeing legal strategy, compliance, and risk across a growing portfolio of manufacturing operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as the senior legal advisor to the executive leadership team
• Lead all legal matters including corporate governance, commercial contracts, regulatory compliance, employment, and intellectual property
• Develop and scale internal legal operations in step with rapid company growth
• Manage relationships with outside counsel
• Contribute to strategic planning, capital projects, and major transactions

Ideal Candidate Profile:

• 12+ years of legal experience, with prior roles as General Counsel, Deputy General Counsel, or other senior legal leadership
• Background in solar or clean technology manufacturing (as opposed to development)
• Deep familiarity with the legal and regulatory complexities of manufacturing and supply chain operations
• Experience in a public company environment strongly preferred
• Skilled in navigating cross-functional business challenges and fast-paced growth

Location: Austin, TX is preferred, but open to remote. Relocation assistance provided.
