We make equipment that helps farmers store and handle grain - things like silos, conveyor systems, and drying equipment. We're part of Berkshire Hathaway and have been helping farmers feed the world for years. We're looking for someone who wants to start their engineering career while making a real difference in agriculture.

What You Will Accomplish:

As a Structural Engineer, you'll join our team to design and create farm equipment that farmers depend on. You'll work on projects that help feed people around the world.

What You Will Do:

• Perform structural design and analysis calculations utilizing governing code & standards, engineering formulas, skills, and expertise.
• Layout and detail portions of projects using schematic layout by project lead engineer.
• Provide drawings for own designs and produces sketches to incorporate in drawings by Detailers.
• Review, analyze, and apply modeling results to code conformance requirements.
• Utilize a gated design process while keeping a master project list to communicate progress.
• Assist with gathering specifications and quoting as needed.
• Assist with field support of structural products, communicating in a clear and prompt manner. Site visits may be preferred, but rare.
• Create and develop new structural designs to meet or exceed customer & regulatory needs.
• Coordinate and support prototype construction and validates the product to ensure it meets design and cost specifications.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering
• 0-2 years of experience working with steel structures
• Interest in farm/agriculture work is helpful but not required
