Pride Health is hiring for an Sterile Processing Tech to support our client’s medical facility based in Jacksonville , FL . This is a local contract or travel contract opportunity and a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization!

Job Details:

• This position is responsible to ensure that all surgical instrument sets and equipment are properly maintained.
• Responsible for tracking lost and broken instrumentation and maintenance of digital records of instrumentation in Instrument Tracking System software.
• Performs weekly missing instrument audit reports. Ensures that these responsibilities are carried out according to established directions designated in procedure manual.
• Functions as a team member, supporting department activities providing for optimal instrument and equipment processing.
• Functions as a patient advocate.
• Responsible for performing delegated activities to support the operating room team in the care of the surgical patient.

Skills Required-:

• Proficient computer skills, including working knowledge of PowerPoint and SPM.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and with minimal supervision.

Preferred Skills & Experience:

• Technician or equivalent education/work experience.

Certifications-:

• Certified Central Service Technician (CCST) OR Certified Instrumentation Specialist Certification (CISC) OR Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician (CSPDT) required.
• CRCST
• Instrument Specialist Certification required

Education:

• Required: High school diploma or GED, OR three (3) years of instrumentation experience in a hospital setting.
• Preferred: Successful completion of a vocational program in Central Service.

Additional Information:

• Location: Jacksonville, FL
• Job Type: 13 weeks- local contract or travel contract
• Schedule: Days: Hours per Week: 40.00, Hours per Day: 8.00
• Schedule: Two positions: Monday–Friday, 2:45 PM – 11:15 PM and Two positions: Monday–Friday, 10:45 PM – 7:15 AM
• Pay Range/Salary Range: $1168/wk to $1268/wk
