Sr. Director, Food Safety and Quality with Liquid Manufacturing Solutions in Franklin, Ohio

 

Are you an experienced food safety and quality leader ready to drive excellence in a dynamic and growing manufacturing environment? We’re looking for a Senior Director, Food Safety and Quality to lead all aspects of our food safety, quality assurance, and regulatory compliance programs.

In this newly created senior leadership role, you’ll work closely with operations and executive leadership to set the strategic direction for quality and food safety, while also managing day-to-day execution across our facilities. You’ll play a critical role in shaping company culture, driving continuous improvement, and ensuring we not only meet—but exceed—customer, regulatory, and industry expectations.

 

Specific Responsibilities include:

  • Lead and evolve all Quality and Food Safety programs including FSMA, HACCP, SQF, GMPs, allergen control, sanitation/SSOP’s, and environmental monitoring.
  • Serve as lead SQF, PCQI, FDQI and HACCP Practitioner and subject matter expert on regulatory compliance (FDA, USDA, Kosher, Halal, etc.).
  • Drive consistent, high-quality production through SOPs, verification/validation studies, traceability systems, internal audits, preventative controls and training.
  • Lead and mentor a strong team, cultivating a culture of learning, integrity, and excellence. Build a culture of quality and food safety within the company
  • Partner cross-functionally with Operations, R&D, Supply Chain, and Maintenance.
  • Collaborate with Sr. Director of Operations and leadership team to refine systems based on performance metrics, regulations, and customer feedback.
  • Lead customer complaint resolution, root cause analysis, and implementation of Corrective & Preventive Actions (CAPAs).
  • Build and maintain strong partnerships with suppliers to ensure raw material and packaging quality.
  • Serve as the point of contact during third-party, customer, and regulatory audits.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives using tools like SPC, Six Sigma, and Lean.

 

What we are looking for:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Food Science or related field (advanced degree a plus)
  • 10+ years in food manufacturing quality roles, with 5+ in a leadership role
  • Certified SQF Practitioner, HACCP, PCQI and FDQI
  • Deep technical and regulatory knowledge of food safety in U.S. and Canadian markets
  • Strong leadership, communication, problem solving and cross-functional collaboration skills
  • Comfortable working in fast-paced, hands-on environments
  • Experience in a fermented, acidified, shelf-stable, oils, flavors or related product category is a plus but not required
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with ERP and QA software preferred
