Job Description

Our client, a growing multifamily real estate owner and operator, is seeking an experienced Asset Manager to oversee a portfolio of market-rate properties. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic organization focused on operational excellence and long-term asset performance. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in multifamily operations and performance management, with the ability to drive NOI growth and optimize property value.

Position Overview
In this role, you will take ownership of the operational and financial performance of a diverse portfolio of market-rate multifamily assets. You'll work closely with property management teams to implement strategies that enhance resident experience, improve operational efficiency, and achieve revenue targets. This position requires a hands-on leader who understands the nuances of multifamily operations and can translate market insights into actionable plans.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day operations and performance of market-rate multifamily properties.
  • Monitor KPIs including occupancy, rent growth, expense control, and NOI; develop strategies to improve results.
  • Collaborate with property management teams to ensure operational excellence and adherence to brand standards.
  • Review budgets, financial statements, and variance reports; identify opportunities for revenue optimization and cost savings.
  • Conduct regular property inspections and implement performance improvement plans.
  • Manage capital projects, ensuring timely completion and maximum ROI.
  • Stay informed on market trends and competitive positioning to maintain asset competitiveness.
  • Support acquisitions and dispositions through operational due diligence and performance forecasting.

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor's degree in Real Estate, Finance, Business, or related field; advanced credentials preferred.
  • 5+ years of asset management experience with a focus on market-rate multifamily operations .
  • Strong financial acumen and ability to analyze operational performance metrics.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills; ability to influence and collaborate across teams.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Real Estate, Finance, Business, or related field; advanced degree or certifications preferred.
5+ years of asset management experience with a focus on market-rate multifamily operations.
Strong understanding of property management, leasing strategies, and operational KPIs.
Proficiency in financial analysis, budgeting, and performance reporting.
Excellent communication and leadership skills with the ability to influence and collaborate across teams.
