We’re partnering with a school district in Lake County, Illinois to hire a dedicated Bilingual Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) for the 2025–2026 school year . This is an on-site position , and the district will consider full-time or part-time candidates , with 37.5 hours per week confirmed for full-time .

The Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) will provide assessment, diagnosis, and treatment services to students with speech, language, and communication needs. This role requires bilingual Spanish proficiency to effectively support students and families. The SLP will collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure students receive appropriate services aligned with their IEP goals.

Position Details

• Position: Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) – Bilingual Spanish
• Location: In-person only, Lake County, IL
• Hours: Up to 37.5 hours per week (full-time); part-time considered
• Schedule: Monday–Friday; school-based hours
• School Year: 2025–2026
• Start Date: ASAP

Responsibilities

• Conduct speech and language evaluations for students referred for services.
• Provide direct therapy services to students individually or in small groups.
• Develop, implement, and monitor IEP goals related to speech and language needs.
• Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and families to support student progress.
• Maintain accurate documentation, progress reports, and compliance with IDEA requirements.
• Participate in IEP meetings, evaluations, and multidisciplinary team discussions.

Qualifications

• Valid Illinois Speech-Language Pathologist license (required).
• Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) (required).
• Bilingual Spanish proficiency (required).
• Experience in a school-based setting preferred.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
