About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic SPED Associate Teacher to join our team. This role supports students in both traditional and distance learning environments, providing essential academic and technological assistance to ensure all learners thrive.

Key Responsibilities

• Support classroom instruction and manage student learning alongside Distance Learning Teachers.
• Assist students in virtual and blended learning settings, including rotational models.
• Collaborate with Distance Learning Teachers weekly to ensure seamless delivery of instruction.
• Take daily attendance in compliance with TEA guidelines.
• Provide classroom accommodations as required by student needs.
• Work with students individually or in small groups to support learning goals.
• Assist students with technology and train them on platforms/tools used for instruction.
• Maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times.
• Make parent/guardian contacts as needed.
• Perform additional tasks and office duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications & Experience

• Meets Texas Education Agency requirements for Instructional Assistant (highly qualified).
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to collaborate positively with administrators, teachers, students, parents, and staff.
• Demonstrated competence and aptitude for assigned responsibilities.
• Ability to effectively use and train others on instructional technology.
• Flexible, dependable, and a good sense of humor!
• Other qualifications as deemed appropriate by the district.
