Job Description:

We are currently seeking a Signage & Wayfinding Designer to join our team of professionals in our Dallas, TX office. This position will be responsible for developing experiential graphic design concepts for built environments and overseeing the signage production process from start to finish. This position will report to the Branding & Signage Design Manager.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide expertise in wayfinding and signage strategy, programming and fabrication needs
  • Develop comprehensive signage packages, including wayfinding, identification, regulatory, and decorative signage.
  • Create branded signage systems that align with architectural interiors and exterior environments
  • Work with clients to understand design intent and translate schematic design into fully developed design intent documents
  • Assemble concepts and elements into coherent and compelling presentations
  • Conceptualize and integrate environmental graphics into two and three-dimensional built environments
  • Generate detailed drawings and specifications of signage, wayfinding and thematic elements to share with vendors for production with material specifications, and fabrication notes
  • Coordinate with vendors and signage fabricators to review prototypes, production specs, and installation details.
  • Generate budget sheets and oversee the procurement process and installation, as needed.
  • Work directly with vendors to review samples and prototypes to ensure that deliverables meet company standards
  • Conduct research for the organization and physical context surrounding assigned projects
  • Research applicable codes and ordinances for assigned projects
  • Manage project scope and schedule to meet client’s expectations
  • Work closely with a variety of design teams across multiple offices to ensure design intent is met
  • Daily coordination with interior designers, architects, and consultants
  • Occasional site visits to check on progress and accuracy related to the scope of work contracted

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, Environmental Design, Architecture, or related field
  • 5+ years of experience producing graphic design or environmental graphic design
  • Must have extensive experience in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop), and Revit is a plus.
  • Experience specializing in Hospitality mixed-use projects, and/or Multifamily projects
  • Ability to interpret schematic designs and apply technical knowledge to progress concepts into fully realized design intent drawings ready for execution, production, and installation
  • Must be capable of selecting materials for interior and exterior signage systems and ensuring durability
  • Experience managing vendors for fabrication and installation
  • Experience generating detailed two and three-dimensional drawings
  • Experience with mockups, renderings, and prototyping
  • Proficient knowledge of with ADA and local sign code compliance, building codes and requirements
  • Strong written and verbal skills, organization, planning and prioritization skills
  • Strong understanding of interior architecture
  • Ability to work successfully independently as well as in a team environment
