A leading telecom and tech brand is seeking a skilled Content Writer & Editor to join their team supporting both consumer- and business-facing editorial platforms. This role combines storytelling, content strategy, and SEO expertise to produce compelling, compliant, and accessible content. The ideal candidate is a strong writer and editor with experience applying journalistic best practices in a brand-forward environment.

Responsibilities:

• Write and edit long- and short-form content across consumer and business blogs.
• Embrace and maintain brand voice across all content
• Apply SEO best practices to drive traffic and engagement (keyword use, article structure, metadata)
• Conduct thorough research and cite credible sources; interview SMEs as needed
• Ensure content accuracy through fact-checking and compliance reviews
• Write for accessibility, ensuring clear language, proper acronym use, and adherence to grade-level readability
• Collaborate with the external SEO agency and the internal editorial teams

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience in content writing and editing, preferably in journalism or editorial marketing
• Strong command of grammar, structure, and brand storytelling
• Proven ability to work independently, manage deadlines, and maintain accountability
• Experience writing for regulated industries or with compliance-heavy review processes
• Ability to adapt content for varying audiences and platforms
• Familiarity with SEO principles, accessibility standards, and CMS tools

Preferred:

• Based in Dallas, TX (or willing to relocate)
• Interest in full-time conversion down the line

Interview Process:

1. Introductory call with Editorial Lead
2. Editing Assessment – Rewrite and edit a provided tech/lifestyle article (unpaid)
3. Team interview to assess personality and collaboration fit
4. Writing Assessment – Create a 400-word SEO-optimized article using a provided brief (unpaid)

Logistics:

• Job: Content Writer & Editor (Contract-to-Hire)
• Location: Dallas, TX (Hybrid – 3 days onsite)
• Type: Contract-to-Hire
• Hours: 40 per week
• Note: NO C2C. Must be authorized to work in the US without Sponsorship.
• Rate: $59-68 per hour

Additional considerations include the candidate’s skills, education, training, credentials, experience, and any other relevant employment conditions.
