Job Description

Our client is seeking a Senior Quality Engineer to elevate quality systems, enhance manufacturing consistency, and support new product development initiatives within their Middleville operations. This individual will be a strategic leader in reducing defects, driving continuous improvement, and ensuring robust, standardized quality processes across both internal manufacturing and supplier networks.

This is a high-impact role where you'll champion problem-solving initiatives, drive key metrics, and implement best practices that shape the future of quality in a dynamic manufacturing environment.

Projects You’ll Work On:

• Build and standardize quality tools including Control Plans (CPs), Quality Alerts, CTQs, LPAs, and SPC systems across manufacturing lines.
• Lead and facilitate cross-functional problem-solving initiatives using PFMEA, 8D, A3, Fishbone, and 5 Whys to identify root causes and implement long-term fixes.
• Champion initiatives to reduce scrap, improve process capability, and eliminate sources of variation using Six Sigma methodology.
• Conduct and lead system, product, and process audits to ensure compliance with internal quality expectations and evolving industry standards.
• Collaborate closely with engineering and production teams to support launch of new products, ensuring robust quality planning and execution.
• Analyze quality data, perform Gage R&R and capability studies, and communicate findings clearly to leadership and frontline staff.
• Monitor evolving industry trends and regulatory requirements, integrating changes into the organization’s quality management systems.

What Experience You Should Bring:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
• 5–7 years of experience in manufacturing quality, preferably within metal fabrication, welding, or enameling environments.
• Demonstrated success leading cross-functional teams and continuous improvement projects.
• Strong knowledge of PFMEA, Six Sigma, Control Plans, and structured problem-solving methodologies.
• Proficient with statistical analysis tools (Minitab preferred), ERP systems, QMS platforms, and GD&T.
• Hands-on experience conducting Gage R&R and process capability analysis.
• CQE or Six Sigma Black Belt certification is a strong plus.
