Korn Ferry Military Division has partnered with our client on their search for a Senior/Project Manager for their Fort Johnson LA location. There are multiple roles open, and compensation will vary based on experience.

Project Manager: 3-5 years experience required

Senior Project Manager: 5-10 years experience required.

For 150 years, this company has grown into full service general contractor serving public and private commercial clients through pre-construction services, design-build, general contracting and construction management services. They are looking for seasoned LEADERS to join their team of highly motivated, energetic people - more senior experience on projects valued at $40 million or more is highly preferred, and will give you a huge advantage over other candidates!

Compensation: $110,000–150,000 (DOE) + bonus

What You Will Do:

  • Provide leadership for project teams, overall daily management of projects and subcontractors, ability to develop great working relationships with clients.
  • Overall direction of all staff assigned to project(s) (20-person team of supervisors and managers, w/up to 150+ additional employees, subcontractors, etc.)
  • Understand and administer prime contract and subcontract agreements.
  • Establish project objectives, policies, procedures, and performance standards within boundaries of company policy; assure compliance with all Federal government requirements.
  • Manage budget and financial reporting; interpret/analyze reports to ensure adherence to project budget.
  • Manage financial aspect of contract (rental equipment, income/expenses, etc.) to protect company interests and maintain good relationship with client(s).
  • Pre-qualify and evaluate potential bidders, issue, and prepare inquiry packages; award contracts; issue change orders as needed. Negotiate and process extra work claims.
  • Prepare initial master schedule and oversee updates.
  • Attend and lead project meetings, including progress, pre-construction, and pre-award.
  • Oversee project close-out; owner contact for post-constructions, including warranty period.

Education and Work Experience:

  • At least 4 years of US Military experience required (Army Engineer, Air Force RED HORSE, Navy SEABEE, etc.)
  • Degree in Construction Management or Civil Engineering and 5+ years experience with Federal and/or Private construction projects ( must have experience on projects valued at $40 million or more .)
  • Demonstrated leadership and interpersonal skills required.
  • Thorough knowledge of construction cost, schedule, estimating, purchasing, and engineering principles and techniques, as well as accounting principles.
