Job Description
One of Insight Global's clients is seeking a seasoned Senior Network Engineer to lead the infrastructure buildout for newly constructed buildings in Rockford, IL. The engineer will serve as the sole PCI representative at the facilities, working closely with a remote team based in the United States. The role involves designing and deploying Cisco-based networking solutions from the ground up, including core routing and SD-WAN enablement. The engineer will be responsible for installing and configuring access points, firewalls, and ensuring seamless device connectivity across both sites- one supporting approximately 400 users and the other catering to executive operations. The engineer will oversee the full lifecycle of network setup, from initial planning through activation and troubleshooting. Daily tasks will include racking, stacking, and cabling equipment, switching IDF's and connecting to MDF's, and ensuring all devices come online per written instructions.
