Repair Center Technician

Location: Kalamazoo, Michigan

Key Responsibilities:

• Diagnose mechanical, hardware, software, and system failures using established troubleshooting protocols.
• Perform in-house repairs and service of surgical and orthopedic equipment according to documented procedures.
• Ensure preventative maintenance, software updates, and programming are performed to maintain device integrity.
• Clean, calibrate, test, and inspect repaired products to ensure full operational capability and safety compliance.
• Follow all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), work instructions, and safety standards to meet regulatory requirements.
• Record repair history and device traceability in accordance with quality standards and internal protocols.
• Maintain a clean and organized workbench and service area.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1+ year of manufacturing, repair, or similar hands-on mechanical/electronic work experience.
• Ability to follow detailed procedures and standard work instructions.
• Comfortable working in a regulated, documentation-intensive environment.
• Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with team members.
• Previous experience in medical device repair or service center environment.
• Familiarity with GMP, ISO, or FDA-regulated manufacturing.
• Technical certifications or training in electronics or mechanical systems a plus.
