Project Manager – Manufacturing Operations, Capital Projects & NPD

Location: Greater Irvine Area | Onsite/Hybrid

Overview:

We are supporting a major manufacturing transformation initiative focused on scaling production capacity, upgrading capital equipment, and enhancing operational efficiency across multiple facilities in the Bay Area. These programs are driven by increased product demand, evolving supply chain strategies, and a push for digital manufacturing integration.

We are hiring multiple experienced Project Managers with backgrounds in manufacturing operations, capital project delivery, and new product introduction (NPI/NPD) to lead critical initiatives across equipment upgrades, facility expansion, and process implementation. What You’ll Do:

• Lead the end-to-end delivery of manufacturing capital projects, including equipment upgrades, facility expansions, and process improvement initiatives
• Partner with engineering and R&D teams to support the successful transition of New Product Development (NPD) programs into full-scale manufacturing
• Develop and manage detailed project plans, budgets, timelines, and risk mitigation strategies
• Collaborate closely with plant operations, engineering, EHS, procurement, and external vendors to ensure seamless project execution
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols, regulatory requirements, and internal quality standards throughout the project lifecycle
• Provide project status updates to executive stakeholders, highlighting key risks, milestones, and alignment to business goals
• Apply industry best practices in Lean, Six Sigma, or Agile to improve project delivery and operations

Who You Are:

• 5+ years of experience in manufacturing project management , with a strong understanding of capital delivery and operational execution
• Proven track record of managing multi-disciplinary projects in production or industrial environments (e.g., high-tech, biotech, automotive, consumer goods)
• Experience working cross-functionally with R&D and product teams to deliver new product introductions (NPI/NPD) into manufacturing
• Familiarity with commissioning processes, factory layouts, change control, and supply chain impacts
• Strong proficiency with project management tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence, MS Project, Smartsheet, Primavera P6 is a plus) and project controls
• Exceptional communication and stakeholder engagement skills across technical and non-technical teams
• PMP, Lean Six Sigma, or equivalent certifications are highly desirable
