Duration: 18-24 month contract

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the strategic relocation of a multi-functional facility in Rockford, IL. This role is critical in ensuring a seamless transition to a new site by July 2027, aligning with operational, technical, and business requirements across departments.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end relocation project, including planning, execution, monitoring, and closure.
• Gather and document requirements from diverse departments including Engineering, Program Management, Supply Chain, Operations, Finance, Quality, HR, and more.
• Collaborate with real estate agents to identify and secure a suitable facility with potential for future expansion.
• Coordinate with suppliers and contractors to execute the move efficiently.
• Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, and dashboards using Microsoft 365 tools.
• Facilitate stakeholder engagement, including regular presentations and progress updates (approx. 30% of time).
• Build and manage a cross-functional project team, ensuring alignment and accountability across all phases.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of project management experience, preferably in facility relocation or cross-functional initiatives.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Project 365 and related collaboration tools.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Plus:

• PMP certification is a strong asset.
• Background in aerospace or similar technical industries is preferred but not required.

Compensation:

$40/hr to $60/hr

Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
