About the Role

As a Professional Certified Laser Technician , you'll deliver high-quality, client-focused laser treatments and ensure safety, precision, and client satisfaction. You'll collaborate with a growing spa team, utilizing advanced equipment to help clients achieve transformative aesthetic results while maintaining top-tier safety and regulatory standards.

Responsibilities

  • Perform advanced laser and light-based treatments (laser hair removal, photofacials, skin rejuvenation; possibly tattoo removal or body contouring depending on equipment)
  • Conduct client consultations, develop treatment plans, assess skin type/conditions, and provide pre- and post-treatment care instructions
  • Maintain accurate treatment records, adhere to strict safety and hygiene protocols, and ensure proper calibration/maintenance of equipment
  • Mentor junior technicians or apprentices in treatment techniques and equipment use
  • Provide outstanding client service, addressing questions/concerns and recommending complementary skincare products or treatments
  • Partner with management to maintain laser consumable inventory and ensure compliance with Texas Department of Licensing & Regulation (TDLR) requirements

Requirements

Certification / License

  • Texas Senior or Professional Laser Technician license (TDLR required)

  • Valid esthetician or related license plus laser certification

Training & Experience

  • 23+ years of hands-on experience performing laser treatments in a spa or medspa environment

  • Familiarity with multiple devices (hair removal, IPL, skin rejuvenation)

Technical Skills

  • Strong understanding of laser safety, contraindications, and skin type considerations

  • Ability to calibrate/adjust machines, chart client treatments, and maintain accurate records

Customer Service

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

  • Calm, professional demeanor with ability to explain treatments and aftercare clearly

Physical Demands

  • Able to stand for extended periods

  • Light lifting/maneuvering of equipment

  • Maintain clean, organized treatment spaces

Availability

  • Flexibility for evenings, weekends, and spa scheduling needs
