Description Cornerstone Endodontics in Birmingham, Alabama is seeking a dedicated and experienced Practice Manager to lead the daily operations of our endodontic practice.
This role is responsible for overseeing operational efficiency, financial performance, team leadership, and referral relationship management. We’re looking for a motivated professional who can foster a collaborative team environment while driving results.
Key Responsibilities - Provide strong, effective leadership to cultivate a positive and high-performing team culture.
- Ensure excellence in patient care, employee engagement, and physician satisfaction.
- Oversee all day-to-day practice operations, including scheduling and workflow optimization.
- Develop, implement, and enforce office policies and procedures.
- Create staffing schedules that align with patient demand and practice needs.
- Maintain expert-level knowledge of the practice management software (e.g., EndoVision).
- Partner with Human Resources on hiring, onboarding, performance reviews, progressive discipline, and terminations.
- Train, coach, and support staff with guidance from the Regional Director and HR.
- Oversee inventory management and supply ordering in coordination with the procurement team.
- Approve invoices and assist with budget development and financial planning.
- Collaborate with the Revenue Cycle team to support reimbursement goals.
- Support the credentialing process by obtaining physician documentation as needed.
- Represent and promote the practice and its providers within the community and among referral partners.
- Ensure the office is clean, organized, and professionally presented at all times.
- Coordinate and lead regular staff meetings.
- Attend scheduled manager meetings and contribute to organizational improvement.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements - 3+ years of experience in the dental field (or a combination of relevant education and experience)
- 2+ years of experience in practice management preferred
- Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Experience with practice management software, such as EndoVision
- Excellent leadership and team-building skills
- Strong interpersonal and communication abilities
- Highly organized and detail-oriented
- Problem-solver with the ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment
