Position Overview:

Greenlife Healthcare Staffing is seeking a compassionate and skilled Podiatrist to provide specialized foot care services to residents at the San Antonio State Supported Living Center (SaSSLC). This role focuses on improving residents’ quality of life through comprehensive podiatric care, including diagnosis, treatment, and preventive services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine foot care, including nail trimming, callus removal, and treatment of foot-related conditions (e.g., infections, deformities).
  • Conduct thorough examinations and assessments to diagnose foot health issues.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for residents.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed electronic health records (EHR).
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure holistic patient care.
  • Educate residents and caregivers on preventive foot care practices.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Doctor of Podiatric Medicine (DPM) degree from an accredited institution. 
  • Licensure: Active Texas Podiatric Medical License.
  • Certification:  American Board of Podiatric Medicine (ABPM) or the American Board of Podiatric Surgery (ABPS).
  • Experience: Minimum 1 year of podiatry experience; prior experience in state facilities, long-term care, or similar settings is preferred.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in EHR systems, podiatric diagnostic tools, and treatment technologies.
  • Soft Skills: Strong communication, empathy, cultural competency, and ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
