Our client, a Global Fortune 50 organization and one of world’s largest distributors of healthcare systems, medical supplies & Pharmaceutical products, seeks an accomplished Pharmacy Technician

Job Title: Pharmacy Technician

Location: 11800 Weston Parkway, Cary, NC 27513

Duration: approx. 5 months with possible extension

Work Schedule:

  • Monday – Friday, onsite
  • 10:00 AM – 7:00 PM OR 11:00 AM – 8:00 PM EST (schedule to be determined)
  • Training hours: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM EST (first 4–6 weeks)
  • 8 hours per day | 40 hours per week

Must-Have Requirements:

  • 3+ year of experience as a Pharmacy Technician
  • Knowledge of pharmacy claims processing and insurance verification
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational ability
  • Reliable transportation to report onsite daily

Job Description:

The Pharmacy Technician will support the Biologics Specialty Pharmacy team in Cary, NC by managing insurance verification, prescription triage, and pharmacy claim processing. This role involves high-volume patient and provider communication and accurate documentation within Biologics’ systems. The technician will also assist with patient care coordination and compliance reporting.

Responsibilities:

  • Recognize and communicate insurance types and coverage details
  • Enter all communications and documentation into the Biologics MIS system
  • Assist with periodic projects such as annual reverification
  • Communicate with patients to obtain insurance and prescription information
  • Triage prescriptions to preferred pharmacies or HUB providers when needed
  • Process and adjudicate pharmacy claims accurately
  • Understand and respond to pharmacy claim outcomes
  • Manage inbound calls from patients, clients, physicians, and payors
  • Identify and report Adverse Events (AEs) and Product Complaints (PCs) to clinicians
  • Manage and reply to internal written communications and chat/email requests
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by Supervisor

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 3+ year of recent experience in pharmacy or healthcare environment
  • Proficiency in pharmacy management software and Microsoft Office
  • Strong written, verbal, and customer service skills
  • Prior specialty or central-fill pharmacy experience is required.
  • Familiarity with insurance types and pharmacy reimbursement processes.
  • Demonstrated ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
