Consultant, Accountant, Medical Devices

Summary

Our client, an innovative global leader within medical devices , has engaged GForce Life Sciences to provide an accountant. This position will report to an Accounting Manager within the accounting department. This individual will perform various accounting duties including managing the monthly close process, primarily concerning accruals, payroll entries, and bank account reconciliation. The accountant will coordinate with various departments to ensure accurate accounting for payroll, benefits, and other business expenses throughout the month.

Job Duties

  • Monthly Close:
  • Lead the monthly close process, including reconciliation of payroll and benefit accounts, business partner accruals, and finalizing account balances in BlackLine.
  • Communicate with department heads to gather necessary information for accruals and account reconciliation.
  • Payroll Processing:
  • Process bi-weekly payroll, including regular pay, time off (PTO), severance, and any special payroll payments.
  • Review and verify payroll entries before submission.
  • Bank Account Reconciliation:
  • Review and reconcile bank statements against company records to identify discrepancies and ensure accurate financial reporting.
  • Account Reconciliation and Cleanup:
  • Perform clean-up tasks related to reconciling accounts and ensuring accuracy throughout the month.
  • Internal Communication:
  • Collaborate closely with various departments to obtain necessary information and coordinate accounting activities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field
  • 1-2 years of experience in accounting, preferably in a corporate environment
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Terms & Start

  • 6-month contract, possibility of extension
  • Full time, 40hrs/week
  • Hybrid in Westminster, CO
