A top Am Law 200 firm is seeking a skilled Intellectual Property Associate or Patent Agent with 2–10 years of experience in chemistry-related patent law. This position is open in several major offices, including Boston, Hartford, Stamford, Newark, East Brunswick, Wilmington, Philadelphia, and Washington, DC.

Key Responsibilities:

• Draft and prosecute patent applications related to organic and pharmaceutical chemistry.

• Conduct patentability and freedom-to-operate analyses.

• Collaborate directly with clients to understand their innovations and IP needs.

• Advise on patent portfolio strategy and management.

Qualifications:

• 2–10 years of experience in chemistry patent prosecution.

• Advanced degree in organic chemistry preferred; Ph.D. ideal.

• Alternatively, at least 5 years of relevant industry experience.

• Admission to practice before the USPTO required.

• State Bar admission for attorney candidates.

• Strong writing, communication, and analytical skills.
