Staff Occupational Therapist

Location: Anchorage, AK

Work schedule: Monday – Friday 8-hour shift

Payment: $45-$60 per hour (according to experience)

Department: Rehabilitation

Reports to: Rehab Manager

🌟 What You’ll Do

Join our dynamic rehab team to help patients regain independence and improve daily function. You’ll evaluate, treat, and guide patients through personalized therapy plans while collaborating with families and healthcare professionals. You’ll also mentor assistants and contribute to staff training.

🔧 Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients within 24 hours of referral
• Design and implement treatment plans with physician approval
• Supervise Occupational Therapy Assistants and students
• Record evaluations, daily treatment notes, weekly progress notes, recertification documentation, per Occupational Therapy Board State Practice Act and governmental and third party payer requirements.
• Participate in care planning and interdisciplinary meetings
• Train caregivers and staff for post-discharge support
• Recommend adaptive equipment to promote mobility and independence
• Ensure therapy equipment is safe and functional

👥 Supervisory Duties

• Oversee Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs), aides, and students

🎓 Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy (Master’s or Doctorate preferred)
• State OT license in good standing
• Proficient in Casamba, Point Click Care, and clinical documentation

💪 Physical Requirements

• Frequent standing, walking, pushing/pulling
• Ability to lift/move up to 100 lbs occasionally
• Occasional climbing, kneeling, and crouching
• Strong sensory and visual acuity

• Low to moderate noise levels
