Job Title: Medical Assistant

Location: 2020 Santa Monica Blvd Ste 400 # 400A Santa Monica, CA 90404

Duration: 13 weeks

Start Date: December 15, 2025

Shift: Day, 5x8-Hour (08:00 AM – 04:30 PM)

Pay Rate: $25/hr-$28/hr(with in 50 miles commute)

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• Flu vaccination required (no exemptions or declinations)
• BLS certification through AHA or ARC only
• Medical Assistant Certificate or Diploma from a DAPIP-accredited program OR national certification through AAMA, AMCA, AMT, CCBMA, or MMCI
• Demonstrated ability to prepare patients for examinations by performing preliminary physical tests, taking blood pressure, weight, and temperature, and reporting patient history summaries
• Minimum of two years working as a Medical Assistant in an outpatient clinic or medical office setting
• Proficiency with blood and lab draws, including venipuncture
• Experience with CS-Link/Epic

Preferred Qualifications

• Two or more years of experience working as a Medical Assistant in Orthopedics
• Experience with medical insurance and referral processes
• Strong understanding of medical terminology
• Experience with Quest Diagnostic laboratory submissions
• Phlebotomy certification
• Additional proficiency in medical terminolog

Job Duties

• Greet patients, take appropriate vital signs, review current medications, and record information in the medical record
• Assist with tracking and monitoring department-specific data
• Explain policies, procedures, or services to patients within scope of practice
• Set up exam and procedure rooms appropriate to patient visit needs
• Clean and re-process equipment and supplies following department guidelines
• Administer immunizations, injections, or oral medications as directed by provider
• Draw and prepare designated lab work or specimens as directed by provider
