Join a 5th generation family-owned company that has been in business for over 130 years! Menzner Hardwoods Co. was founded in 1894 and has since grown to be one of the largest hardwood moulding manufacturers in the U.S. We currently employ approximately 480 people in four states.

 The Maintenance Manager has the primary responsibility to monitor the conditions of the property, facility and equipment at the Somerset location. This includes working with Corporate to implement new equipment and processes pertaining to overall maintenance at the property.

Responsibilities:

• Establish and maintain safe work procedures and practices
• Schedule and assign tasks to maintenance staff and oversee their work
• Manage the performance of maintenance staff including evaluation, training and development, coaching and feedback
• Provide input into preparation of annual maintenance budget and monitor adherence to budget during fiscal year
• Schedule maintenance work to minimize disruption to production
• Oversee the preventative maintenance process to ensure reliability and effectiveness
• Monitor the maintenance staffing requirements needed at the Somerset location
• Assist in planning and monitoring maintenance within capital improvement projects
• Maintain accurate parts inventories to minimize down time and expedited shipping requirements
• Develop, implement and monitor strategies for continuous improvement in equipment reliability and effectiveness
• Develop and implement schedule for regular maintenance and upkeep of property

This position will report directly to the Kentucky Plant Manager and will also work closely with the Corporate Safety Manager.

Direct reports will include all maintenance employees at the Somerset location.

Experience and Qualifications:

· Associate’s Degree or commensurate experience within maintenance or a trade.

· A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in maintenance.

· Experience managing a maintenance crew

Competencies include : a safety mindset, excellent oral and written communication skills, organizational skills, ability to effectively direct others in a team environment, and mechanical aptitude.
