This position will serve our
Nordyne Division, located in
O'Fallon, MO. This is an on-site position. Responsibilities - Responsible for testing and documentation related to design engineering and product development including but not limited to:
- Working from written test plans to conduct HVAC system and component performance and safety compliance testing.
- Documentation and communication of test equipment setup and test results.
- Set up and test new and existing HVAC products and components
- Working knowledge of HVAC system operation and ability to troubleshoot
- Observe and document test results accurately
- Set up, operate, and maintain electronic and mechanical instruments and test equipment
- Ability to use a variety of hand and power tools safely
- Work from engineering drawings, sketches, diagrams, written and verbal instructions
- Maintains an attitude which consistently represents the organizational culture, including: the mission, vision and core attributes
- Other Ad hoc duties as assigned by manager
- Supports “Lean Business Enterprise” initiatives for continuous process improvement and waste elimination.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications - High school diploma or equivalent.
- 3+ years' experience in of experience with HVAC equipment function and operation
- Engineering using a work order database
- Experience using HVAC developed software systems
- Use of various lab instruments and equipment
- Demonstrate understanding of the following concepts: (A) Sheet metal and assembly design and design fabrication; (B) Test standards and materials properties; (C) Test performance and documentation.
- Ability to understand equipment assembly, basic electrical wiring, and basic system maintenance and repair.
- Excellent communication skills, written and verbal, with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficient computer skills and in-depth knowledge of relevant software such as MS Office Suite.
- Demonstrates ability to work well with others in a matrix team environment.
- Must be able to safely climb, bend, or otherwise move while potentially carrying heavy equipment or parts, up to 50 pounds, occasionally.
