Junior Architect

Archimaera Architecture is an award-winning New York City-based multidisciplinary design and architecture firm. We are collaborative group of creative problem solvers, and we’re looking for a motivated, talented and industrious Junior Architect to join our dynamic, medium size office. 

Must be a quick learner with a strong familiarity in BIM modelling and NYC Zoning and Building Code requirements.

Candidates must possess the following minimum qualifications:

• Professional Degree (B.Arch or M.Arch)
• Eligibility to work in the United States
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant architectural design experience 
• NYC Metro area residency for regular office attendance, site visits and meetings
• Professional level proficiency with BIM modeling (Revit, Archicad, etc), Adobe Creative Suite, proficiency with Rhino or Sketchup, and an ability to pick up new software quickly Strong 2D and 3D skills including clear graphical presentations.
• Ability to work professionally and reliably in collaboration with a team
• Meticulous attention to detail and a passion for design excellence
• Strong communication skills

The Role will include the following duties and responsibilities:

• 3D modeling and drafting for design, coordination and documentation purposes.
• Contribute to the preparation of design documentation, including client presentations, DOB filing sets and construction documents.
• Work with project team members to check and coordinate details and dimensions in drawings and models.
• Collaborate across disciplines and trades to ensure well-coordinated projects

• Cover letter should be one-page maximum and include your availability, salary requirements, and specific legal authorization to work in the US.
• Email subject field should read: Intermediate Architect Position: (your name). Email attachments should not exceed 10MB.

Archimaera offers an industry- competitive salary and a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, matched 401(k) plan, short- and long-term disability, education reimbursement program, performance bonuses, and unlimited PTO after a 4 month trial. Salary is commensurate with experience. Salary $65k-75k.
