You'll also have a chance to build community through our employee-run Business Resource Groups, participate in industry conferences, and enjoy unlimited standby travel anywhere we fly. **Position Overview** The UX Research & Insights Intern will help execute, analyze and report on user-centered research studies, contribute to United's employee digital products and advocate for user needs. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to uncover insights that inform design and product decisions. **Key Responsibilities** + Assist in planning and conducting qualitative and quantitative user research e.g. interviews, usability testing, surveys, product data. + Support synthesis of research findings into actionable insights and recommendations. + Apply your curiosity, asking the right questions and more to uncover key information. + Collaborate with product management, product design, engineering, and stakeholders. + Participate in stakeholder meetings and contribute to research presentations **Qualifications** **What's needed to succeed (Minimum Qualifications)** + Must be a current undergraduate student pursuing a degree in Psychology, Design, Anthropology, Human-Computer Interaction or related field. + Strong interest in UX research and user-centered design + Familiarity with research methods and tools e.g. usability testing, surveys, affinity mapping + Experience with tools like Figma, UserTesting, Quantum Metric, Google Analytics, or similar is a plus + Innovative, forward-thinking + Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams + Autonomous and proactive + High standards and attention to detail + Good communication skills (interpersonal and written skills) + Ability to adapt to fast pace and changes + Position is based in Chicago, IL - must be able to relocate for the duration of the internship + Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship now and in the future + Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualifications + Reliable, punctual attendance is a crucial function of the position The starting rate for this role is $20.00. The base salary range/hourly rate listed is dependent on job-related, non-discriminatory factors such as experience, education and skills. This position may also be eligible for bonus and/or long-term incentive compensation awards.
