Position Overview

We are seeking a strategic and resourceful HR Generalist with a strong background in recruiting to support our growing team. This role requires regular on-site presence and occasional travel between local company locations. Reporting to the Director of Human Resources, this role is a dynamic blend of full-cycle talent acquisition and core HR responsibilities, including employee relations, onboarding, training, compliance, and performance support.

This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned HR professional who thrives in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment and is eager to shape a people-first culture at a growing e-commerce company.

Key Responsibilities

Talent Acquisition & Recruiting

  • Own the full-cycle recruitment process across departments—sourcing, screening, coordinating interviews, and extending offers.
  • Use and maintain the applicant tracking system (ATS) to manage job postings, candidate pipelines, interview scheduling, and communications.
  • Partner with hiring managers to craft job descriptions, set hiring goals, and deliver a top-tier candidate experience.
  • Develop proactive recruiting strategies and pipelines to support ongoing and future hiring needs.
  • Implement tools, metrics, and best practices to improve time-to-fill, cost-per-hire, and quality-of-hire.

HR Generalist Responsibilities

  • Support day-to-day HR operations, including employee relations, policy interpretation, and performance discussions.
  • Administer and improve the onboarding process to ensure new employees feel welcome, prepared, and engaged from day one.
  • Collaborate with leadership to enhance training, learning, and employee development programs.
  • Help drive employee engagement and retention efforts that support a high-performance, values-based culture.
  • Support benefits and payroll processes as needed, partnering with external vendors and internal stakeholders.

HR Compliance & Data Management

  • Ensure HR practices remain compliant with federal, state, and local employment laws.
  • Maintain accurate employee records and HR documentation using systems such as Paylocity or similar HRIS platforms.
  • Use data to support decision-making, including recruitment dashboards, turnover trends, and engagement feedback.

Culture & Inclusion

  • Actively champion a workplace culture of respect, inclusivity, and collaboration.
  • Help lead DEI-related recruitment efforts and contribute to a welcoming environment for all team members.

Special Projects

  • Contribute to cross-functional HR initiatives that align with strategic business goals, such as employer branding, performance management enhancements, and HR process improvements.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 4+ years of HR experience with at least 2 years focused on recruiting/talent acquisition.
  • Experience managing full-cycle recruiting processes in a fast-paced, growing company.
  • Solid knowledge of HR practices, laws, and procedures, particularly in employee relations and compliance.
  • Excellent interpersonal, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Experience using an Applicant Tracking System (ATS) to manage recruitment workflows and reporting.
  • Hands-on experience with HRIS systems (e.g., Paylocity) and comfort using data to drive decisions.
  • A self-starter who is organized, adaptable, and thrives in a collaborative, remote-first environment.

Why Join IndiMade Brands?

  • Be part of a mission-driven company that supports makers and small businesses.
  • Influence meaningful HR strategies that support growth, innovation, and people-first values.
  • Enjoy opportunities for development, ownership, and making a real impact.
