Location: Midtown, ATL

Duration: THREE YEARS (!!!)

Hours per week: 40

Hybrid: Yes, 3 days per week on-site. 2 days remote.

Rate Range: $30-$33 per hour

Job Description

Our client, a large energy company, is seeking a strategic Corporate Communications Specialist to support the development and execution of internal communication initiatives that foster employee engagement and alignment with the company's vision and strategy. This role will report to the Internal Communications Manager and collaborate closely with key business functions including Human Resources, Talent Development, Talent Acquisition, Talent Inclusion, Corporate Impact, Technology, and Ethics & Compliance. You not only need to come with strong internal comms experience, but being a strong writer for the position will be key. Key Responsibilities

• Assist in implementing comprehensive internal communication strategies focused on enterprise content, executive messaging, and event support.
• Lead communications for Human Resources and Ethics & Compliance, supporting initiatives such as Connected Conversations, the Mentoring Program, National Intern Day, and Engineers Week.
• Create compelling, visually engaging content using tools like generative AI, Firstup, Canva, or similar platforms.
• Serve as a communications consultant to internal departments, advising on message development and delivery methods.
• Write, edit, and proofread employee news stories for the intranet and mobile app, ensuring alignment with business partner approvals and potential external sharing.
• Develop a variety of internal communication materials including talking points, emails, newsletters, and promotional content.
• Conduct communication audits to assess effectiveness and identify opportunities for automation and improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, Journalism, or a related field
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a communications role.
• Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
• Strong understanding of strategic communication practices, including digital and social media engagement.
• Proven project management skills with the ability to juggle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Comfortable navigating ambiguity and developing effective solutions.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with a collaborative mindset and the ability to build strong cross-functional relationships.

In this position, you may have access to client or customer systems, confidential and/or proprietary information or data. This position is onsite and requires you to work closely with other individuals in a collaborative team environment.
