Job Title: Graphic Designer

We are seeking an experienced and inspired Graphic Designer to join our creative team. This role will collaborate closely with cross-functional partners to bring innovative visual concepts to life, ensuring a strong and cohesive brand presence across ecommerce, retail, and social.

The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment and is a highly organized, self-motivated creative who takes initiative, pushing ideas beyond the brief and crafting thoughtful, elevated design that connects with culture and emotion. You have an exceptional eye for detail, a strong sense of visual storytelling, and the ability to balance multiple projects with clarity and focus. Above all, you’re excited to create work that lives within Chamberlain Coffee’s unique, quirky, and artistic brand identity, bringing a sense of playfulness, creativity, and visual charm to everything you touch.

This role will report to the CMO, and is LA-based and offers a hybrid schedule (3 days in-office).

Submissions will require a short 1-2 minute video as part of the first stage of the interview process so we can get to know you, your experience, and your creative approach before moving forward. Responsabilities

Graphic Design & Concepting

  • Create visually compelling assets that reflect and elevate the Chamberlain Coffee brand across digital, retail, and print touchpoints.
  • Strong illustration skills with the ability to create custom, hand-drawn or digital artwork that complements Chamberlain Coffee’s quirky, artistic brand identity.
  • Show proficiency in typography, color, and layout, integrating cultural influences from art, fashion, and design into your work.
  • Bring fresh, strategic thinking to every brief, ask questions, contribute ideas, and consistently go beyond expectations in both concept and execution.
  • Maintain and evolve the brand’s distinct visual language, balancing fun and approachability with elevated design sensibility.

Social & Content Collaboration

  • Work closely with the social team to design graphics and visual content that enhance storytelling across platforms.
  • Translate brand campaigns, product launches, and seasonal moments into engaging, scroll-stopping social visuals and templates.
  • Ensure all creative aligns with the brand’s tone, visual identity, and broader campaign narratives.

Photography Collaboration

  • Partner with our photographer on shoot planning and post-production.
  • Provide visual guidance and input ahead of photoshoots to ensure alignment with creative direction.
  • Review and select final images that best represent the brand across ecommerce, retail, and marketing channels.

Packaging Design

  • Conceptualize and execute innovative packaging for both evergreen products and limited-edition launches.
  • Ensure each design reflects Chamberlain Coffee’s signature personality while bringing fresh, culturally relevant ideas.
  • Possess strong understanding of dielines, materials, and printing processes.
  • Participate in press checks and collaborate with vendors to ensure high-quality production.

Retail Marketing & Creative

  • Support retail marketing initiatives through design for in-store displays, signage, shelf talkers, merchandising, and promotional materials.
  • Collaborate with retail and marketing teams to create cohesive campaigns that translate the Chamberlain Coffee aesthetic into physical retail environments.
  • Develop design toolkits and assets to ensure consistency across wholesale, café, and partner locations.

Digital Design

  • Design for web, email, and digital campaigns with a strong understanding of UX best practices.
  • Translate creative direction into online experiences that are visually engaging and conversion-minded.

Organization & Initiative

  • Manage your own design projects from concept through completion with a high level of ownership and accountability.
  • Balance multiple deadlines and priorities while maintaining exceptional attention to detail.
  • Communicate proactively with internal teams and external partners (photographers, printers, illustrators, etc.) to ensure seamless creative execution.
  • Take initiative to identify creative opportunities and propose new ideas that push the brand forward.
  • Own Chamberlain Coffee Brand Guidelines and updates. 

Software & Skills

  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Acrobat), Figma, and Notion.
  • Animation or video editing experience a plus.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in graphic and package design, with a strong portfolio showcasing a mix of digital and physical work.
  • Experience collaborating with social and retail marketing teams on campaign visuals and in-store creative.
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills with the ability to independently manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience working with product photography — providing visual input and executing thoughtful image selects.
  • Deep understanding of design trends, cultural references, and the evolving visual landscape.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills; thrives in a creative, cross-functional environment.
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and proactive — comfortable owning your projects and driving them to completion.
  • A genuine understanding and appreciation for Chamberlain Coffee’s playful, artistic, and slightly offbeat brand world — and the ability to bring that energy to life through design.
