General Superintendent – Heavy Civil (Earthwork & Paving)

Location: Northern California

Employment Type: Full-Time

I’m partnering with one of Northern California’s most respected heavy civil general contractors to help them find a General Superintendent with extensive experience in earthwork and paving. This role is responsible for on-site leadership, ensuring projects are executed safely, on schedule, and to the highest quality standards.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee day-to-day field operations on heavy civil projects, including earthwork and paving
• Manage subcontractors, crews, and equipment to ensure efficient project execution
• Enforce safety protocols and maintain compliance with all regulations
• Monitor project progress, quality, and productivity, and report to project management
• Collaborate with project managers and engineers to resolve field challenges

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a superintendent in heavy civil construction
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
• Ability to manage multiple crews and large-scale projects
• Knowledge of safety regulations, scheduling, and field operations
