Job Overview:

We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented seamstress to support our upholstery team in restoring and reupholstering a wide range of furniture pieces. This position is ideal for someone who has strong sewing skills, experience with fabric cutting and pattern-making, and a keen eye for design and quality.

Key Responsibilities:

• Sew and assemble upholstery covers for chairs, sofas, cushions, and other furniture items.
• Cut fabric according to patterns and measurements.
• Repair, replace, or reinforce seams, zippers, piping, and decorative details.
• Collaborate with upholsterers to ensure proper fabric fit and installation.
• Operate industrial sewing machines and hand tools safely and efficiently.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of work area and tools.
• Ensure high-quality finishes that meet company standards and customer expectations.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a seamstress or in a similar sewing/upholstery role.
• Familiarity with upholstery fabrics, trims, and sewing techniques.
• Ability to read and work from patterns or templates.
• Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Experience with industrial sewing machines and sergers is a plus.
• Upholstery training or certification is a bonus but not required.
